A motorcyclist has been hospitalised following an accident in Qormi this afternoon. The motorcyclist was driving a Honda Motorcyle when he crashed into a van, being driven by a 33-year-old man from Santa Lucija.

The accident happened at Triq il-Mithna, Hal Qormi at around 4:30pm. Police later said the man was seriously injured but his injuries were not life threatening.

In the past weeks, a number of motorcyclists were involved in traffic accidents.

His condition is still unknown.
