There are a total of 22,221 pensioners who receive less than €500 per month on a state pension, Family Minister Michael Farrugia said tonight.
Answering a question put by Opposition MP Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, Dr Farrugia confirmed that 22,221 people received less than €500 per month.
About 9,000 of that figure received other forms of pensions, including services pension, pensions from abroad and other schemes.
