Economy Minister Chris Cardona said that the Gaming Academy is vital to enhance the skills of our youths.

Stating that the government has nothing against foreigners working in this sector, he said the academy will help cater for the needs of Maltese youths who intend pursuing gaming as a career, seeking to invest in nurturing an ICT skilled workforce.

He was replying to a question made by PN MP Kristy Debono on the situation regarding the academy – a PL electoral pledge.

In September, during a visit to Tipico’s offices, Parliamentary Secretary José Herrera had said that talks were at an advanced stage for his secretariat to launch the Gaming Academy.
