Pretty Bay and the coast of Birzebbuga once again were victims of an oil leak which, however, this time round, did not lead to the closure of the bay.
The Department of Information said that the oil leak occurred when the Santa Marija vessel was being fed with diesel.
No contamination has resulted from the incident and the bay remains open for swimming.
Last month, Pretty Bay had been closed for two days after an oil leak.
