The funeral Mass of Emmanuela Tanti, the mother of the Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat – was held at Ta’ Giezu church in Rabat this afternoon. She died early yesterday at a residence for the elderly. She was 68.
The church was over flowing with mourners. Those present included Acting President Dolores Cristina, Ministers Edward Scicluna, Helena Dalli, Edward Zammit Lewis, Chris Cardona, Joe Mizzi, among others, the head of the civil service Mario Cutajar, Speaker of the House Anglu Farrugia, the chief of staff of the Office of the Prime Minister Keith Schembri, PN secretary general Rosette Thake, PN MPs Jason Azzopardi and Francis Zammit Dimech, OPM communications chief Kurt Farrugia and the president of the Malta Developers Association Sandro Chetcuti.
The priest who celebrated the funeral Mass said that those who serve and help others in the most of humble ways are the ones who will be successful and who will be in touch with God, in the same way Emmanuela did. He said Emmanuela was known for helping others in need.
The late Emmanuela will be laid to rest later this afternoon.
