The Nationalist Party today committed itself to further the battle against cancer.
On the day in which the International Day Against Cancer is commemorated, the PN, through shadow minister Claudette Buttigieg, said it has always worked to give priority to the issue. This included the national strategy for the treatment of cancer and the building of the oncology hospital as part of the Mater Dei complex.
Even from the Opposition benches, the PN is doing its part in tackling the disease, such as by presenting a draft bill on healthy living.
On this day, the PN paid tribute to people suffering from cancer and their families, as well as the medical staff that takes care of them.
