A video showing rats peeping out from underneath a door of an abandoned house in St Julian’s, which has been uploaded on the popular Malta Dizastru Totali page on Facebook, has gone viral.

At least four rats may be seen looking hungrily at a garbage bag that is located nearby.

The video was uploaded yesterday and has already been seen more than 80,000 times on the page.

St Julian’s mayor Karl Gouder was among those who commented on the video, saying that the local council had informed the Health Department about the hazard.

The caption on the video says that it was filmed in Sliema, but the last shot shows that it was filmed in Borg Olivier Street, St Julian’s.
