Ira Losco received a warm welcome this afternoon as she returned from Stockholm where she represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 12th.
Tens of people turned up at the arrivals lounge, including a number of mothers and children with whom Ira took time to smile for a selfie.
The European Broadcasting Union today announced that Ira’s song Walk on Water finished third in the semi-final on Tuesday, first among the jury voting.
Yesterday, in the final, Ira was fourth halfway through when the jury votes were taken into account, but plummeted to 12th after the televoting preferences were added to the tally.
