Two schools have introduced a Learning Support Centre during Summer, as part of a pilot project.

Such centres, a government statement read, cater for students who face difficulties in school. There are a total of four such centres on the island, and they offer activities including arts and crafts, sports, beauty care, automotive engineering etc.

The two colleges chosen as part of the pilot project are Thomas Moore College in Hamrun, and Marija Regina College in Naxxar.

Students start their day having breakfast together, then break into smaller groups for 30-minute lectures.

Education Minister Evarist Bartolo was visiting the two centres, where he thanked all those who work there.
