In the second vox-pop leading up to the presentation of the budget for 2017, The Malta Independent went to Valletta to find out what people are suggesting.

An increase in pensions remains one of the most desired measures. However, this time, some also referred the need for more job opportunities and government help to small businesses in Valletta.

One woman openly praised the government for creating many jo opportunities, but then lamented that her grand-daughter is still looking for employment.

Most of the respondents willing to appear before the camera were senior citizens.
