No one was injured when several bricks fell off a truck in Zebbug this morning.

The incident took place in Mdina Road, near the roundabout that leads to Siggiewi.

Several hollow concrete bricks and metal rods tipped over and flew off of the side of the truck as part of the cage buckled under the weight.

A police spokesperson confirmed that no cars had been hit and no one was injured.

The road was closed by traffic policemen for some time but has since been reopened.
