Majjistral Park in splendour

Din l-Art Helwa is organising its second tour for 2017 to Heritage sites and properties under its management. This tour will be held at Majjistral Park in Mellieha taking advantage of the park's splendour at this time of the year, the park becoming a kaleidoscope of colour and regeneration.  The participants will also enjoy the splendid sea views of this Natura 2000 coastline.

Ian Camilleri, a volunteer with DLH, will coordinate this tour in collaboration with Darren Saliba, the ranger at Majjistral park.

The tour is set for the Saturday 8 April.  Participants will meet at the Visitors Centre for a welcome briefing by the park's guide.

A donation of €euro should be paid in advance to secure booking, and all proceeds goes towards restoration and conservation projects.  Bookings will be on a first come first served basis (maximum 30 participants).

The tour starts at 9.15am with a briefing session at the Visitors Centre.  Parking is available at the park's entrance.

The park's guide will lead the participants on a one and a half hour walk on the park where the main features of the park's flora and fauna of the park will be explained.

The tour will end with tea and coffee at about 12.15pm

It is suggested that participants wear appropriate walking shoes and bring a bottle of water with them.
