Watch – World Cup fever: Consultants to Brazilian MPs exchange stickers during House sitting

Friday, 6 April 2018, 14:49 Last update: about 7 years ago

Two months before the kick-off in Russia, World Cup fever is slowly rising.

The launch of the Panini sticker album has led to some controversy in Brazil, as consultants to two MPs were filmed exchanged stickers while parliament was in session.

The footage has been uploaded on the internet and has gone viral.

The two consultants, with a wage of €6,000 per month, do not have a right to vote in the House, but their complete disregard to what was taking place has drawn criticism.

The MPs who employ the two consultants have been informed and it is up to them to take any disciplinary measures.

For Maltese fans, the Panini album will be distributed free of charge with The Malta Independent on Sunday on 15 April.
