The government has a single goal; that of improving the country further and preparing Malta for tomorrow, PM Joseph Muscat said, on the occasion of the government’s first anniversary.
In a joint message with his Members of Cabinet, Muscat underlined that “we, as a country, as families, and as businesses, are prospering, and that while normally countries undergo declines after periods of significant growth, this Government is doing the opposite: instead of slowing down, Malta is gaining momentum.”
“The country is gaining momentum because the Government has a strategy, a vision, a plan, and because it is driven by a team that is united and capable,” the Prime Minister said.
“There is no greater satisfaction than seeing this plan result in a stronger middle class; in more elderly receiving better pensions; in more young people benefiting from more opportunities; more women entering the job market for the first time; and families having, for the first time, the opportunity to have children,” Muscat said.
The PM emphasised that the Government will keep moving forward with its vision of creating more and better-quality jobs, so that business owners and employers also have greater opportunities, while also working to eradicate poverty from our country.
“This can all be done because the people placed its trust in us. We are, and will remain, a Government united by one vision,” concluded Dr Muscat.
In an online campaign that is being launched today, the Members of Cabinet will also be taking to social media to outline the Government’s various achievements during its first year.
