The courts have refused the bail of a man charged with being indecently dressed and disobeying the orders of police officers.
Zere Negasi Gebrehiwot, an Eritrean national aged 28 and holds a Greek residence permit, also stands accused of reviling, threatening or causing bodily harm to two police officers, and disturbing the public peace.
The incident occurred in the early hours on Sunday morning.
The validity of the arrest was not contested by legal aid Dustin Camilleri, who still reserved the right to request bail at a later stage.
The court was presided by magistrate Audrey Demicoli. The prosecution was represented by Inspector Elliott Magro.
