In the J. SAMMUT PRE SEASON T'MENT, champons MARSA WHITE STARS produced some delightful football in beating the challenge of WARDIJA MASTERS 10-5 to reach the quarter final. Marsa showed their strenght and gave notce that they will not relinquish the title of champions very easy. They have a squad of talented players producing  attractive football and showing  great understanding between them.  Wardija did try their best, but it seems they are still experimenting with their side.  When they settle, they will for sure wiil not be so easy to beat.  Both teams had some new players, notably those from Wardija, having the new foreigner Milan Anelkovic and the well known Orosco Anonam, beside having the return of Rene Forace after a long injury.

Marsa showed their intentions from the beginning and going for the break they had already a good lead of 5-1. In the second half Wardija played much better, but Marsa still held the upper hand. The game was played in good sporting spirit. The pick for Marsa was James Galea, a player that never gives up and for Wardija there was Rene Forace. He showed that he is still a great defender and ready to take his chances when going forward.

RABAT MAHMAT MASTERS had to work hard to beat TAL-QROQQ 6-4. The game produced an interesting encounter. Both teams  went all out from the start. Tal-Qroqq took a lead of 2-0, but Rabat drew level before the end of the first half.  In the second thirty minutes play, Rabat went infront through an own goal by Robert Perkins, but the same player made amends by scoring the draw. But then Rabat took the initiative,  scored two consecutive goals by Chris Muscat and never looked back.
