Mario Meli Monday, 19 November 2018, 11:49 Last update: about 9 years ago

The last games played in both leagues were well contested and  the result uncertain till the end. In the MAPFRE/MSV Life PREMIER MASTERS LEAGUE, DINGLI and WARDIJA registered good wins but not  after being given a hard time by their oponents. Wardija beat RABAT 6-5. Before the break they lead 4-3,  and in the second half they increased pressure to go infront 6-3.  It seemed over for Rabat. But they had other intentions. They did come back and with some more time they could have saved the game.  Rabat are still without any points.  Although they are a  team that can give a difficult time to any  opposition,  they still lack finishing power and they rely mostly on Chris Muscat.

VALLETTA ARE also with no points after losng their game aginst DINGLI 5-6, but they were unlucky not to gain at least a point. They were losing 3-1 at half time, but in the second half after being down 4-2, they increased their efforts inspired by the excellent play of Nikola Filipov who scored four to get his team back in the game. However soon after an incident happened when their goalkeeper and other player were trying to get back the post  in its right position, Play went on and they suffere a goal and useless were the protet with the referee. For Dingli Simon Shead was again in great form and scored three to go top in the best scorers  list.

Games from the other league, CISK MASTERS DIVISION ONE, were also well contested and we had MOSTA SHAGG O COME FROM BEHIND to beat TAL-QROQQ 7-5. While Mosta remained unbeaten and consolidated frst place in the sanding al-qross were suffring their first eat. Before going for the break, Tal-Qroqq were leading 5-4. But in the second half Mosta reacted strongly to score three goals and change the game in their favour.  For Mosta, Sciriha scored three with Karl Leonardi having a hat trick for Tal-Qroqq.

From the same competition NAXXAR MASTERS gained thei first win when they beat TARGA GAP 7-5. This was their best game so far and for them Victor Bellia scored a hat-trick and their captain Mark Deguara kept his touch and got two goals.  They lead 5-4 at half time, and  remained in control in the second half, despite the great effort by Targa Gap.
