President George Vella will be attending the official ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II.
He was been invited by the Polish government.
The ceremony will be held in Pilsudski Square, with Polish President Andrzej Duda and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to deliver speeches.
Dolores Cristina will be taking over as Acting President.
