The Institute of Directors Malta are holding a Business Breakfast on September 26 at EY Malta starting at 7:30am on the subject of 'Director Pay', which includes both keynote speaker Matthew Camilleri from Castille Resources as well as a panel including Dr Wayne Pisani, President of The Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and Dr Matthew Brincat, Partner at Ganado Advocates, and which will be moderated by IoD Chairman Edwin Ward.

IoD's Business Breakfast will discuss this important topic in-depth and cover director remuneration in Malta from a number of different perspectives including an overview of research undertaken in this area by Castille Resources showing how remuneration packages for directors are structured.

Some of the other topics to be discussed are pay level differences between executive and non-executive directors, how to pay independent directors, pay equality, role of the Remuneration Committee and the role of the Board in setting compensation for the CEO.

Prior to setting-up Castille Resources, Matthew Camilleri worked within Assurance and Financial consultancy for a Big 4 firm in London after having founded and raised finance for a tech start-up in Oslo Norway. Castille is the professional network of Tech and Financial talent, modelled to service new global work trends.

Dr Wayne Pisani is the GrantThornton partner responsible for the corporate and financial services team in Malta where he deals with a wide range of asset protection and cross-border regulatory and tax planning engagements. He is also president of the IFSP.

Dr Brincat is the president of the Malta Employment Lawyers Association and partner in charge of the Employment and Pensions practice at Ganado Advocates.
