Thursday, 26 September 2019, 09:00 Last update: about 7 years ago

Two international courses on central banking were organised by the Central Bank of Malta, together with the School of Economics of the University of Nottingham.

Central bankers from Europe, Africa and the Middle East joined Maltese colleagues and a number of University of Malta graduates for the week-long courses in September.

The courses are part of a three-year agreement with the University of Nottingham.

Dr Paul Mizen, Professor of Monetary Economics at the University of Nottingham, delivered the course on "Monetary Theory and Policy". Dr Alejandro Riaño, Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, lectured on "Macroeconomics: Economic Cycles, Frictions and Policy".
