Three groups of immigrants were relocated in Germany, Lithuania and Romania, the government said in a statement.
The migrants were rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta on three separate occasions.
The first rescue dates back to 23 August, when 356 immigrants were stranded on board of the NGO vessel Ocean Viking for 13 days.
Malta intervened in this stalemate without prejudice to its legal position, after an agreement with the European Commission and a number of members states, stating that all migrants on board of the ship were to be relocated to different EU member states.
The other two rescues by the AFM on board of the NGO Sea-Eye operated Alan Kurdi were on 4 August and on 10 September. In both these rescues, Malta agreed to be part of a European solution to solve the impasse, after a developing humanitarian situation.
All immigrants were assisted by the local authorities, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), and officials from the respective embassies.
