‘The crooks must go’: Protesters fix signs to Maltese High commission Office in London

Thursday, 28 November 2019, 19:33 Last update: about 5 years ago

A Maltese flag, photo of assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, and banner reading 'Maltese citizenship for sale here' were among the items affixed to the doors outside of the Maltese High Commission in London on Thursday night.

The investigation into the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia saw headway the past days, as businessman Yorgen Fenech was arrested. However, others are also being tied to the case, such as former OPM Chief of Staff Keith Schembri, which has resulted in many questioning why Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has not stepped down himself.

A group of protesters made their way to the Maltese High Commission, and in addition to the aforementioned, also placed signs which contained the phrases like 'The crooks must go' and 'Face up to the consequences of your lies.'
