Maybe he thought he would be getting the Gozo Ministry back.

But once he did not, Anton Refalo uploaded a rather cryptic message on his Facebook page, saying he does not know if he will be able to help his constituents.

Refalo had been Gozo Minister between 2013 and 2017, but was replaced by Justyne Caruana when the Labour Party won the 2017 election.

He has since been a backbencher, both under Muscat in the last two and a half years and now under new PM Robert Abela.

In the circumstances, he said, he may not be in a position to translate “the support you give me into work for you and your families.”
