Rising rents, expensive restaurants and heavy overcrowding are killing the igaming industry in Malta, a report in Ayo News said.
The report, written by Oliver Cook, speaks of how Malta was the ideal place for igaming in 2015 and 2016 but recent developments have meant that the country has lost the edge in the industry.
The report is entitled: “Killing the goose that lays the golden egg? Malta prices out gaming industry”.
It says that the industry will still be present on the island in the next years but the “boom is over”.
