No Coronavirus cases have as yet been recorded among residents at St Vincent De Paul, Minister for Family, Children’s Rights and Social Solidarity, Michael Falzon said today.

“We have received a number of calls regarding yesterday’s 52 cases, as one of them is a woman from an elderly home. I can confirm this now, that no residents at St Vincent De Paul has been tested positive for COVID-19. The same applies for other residents at the other state run elderly homes,” said Falzon.

He said that a number of measures have been taken in these homes to ensure the safety of the residents and workers.

In March, the government announced that elderly homes will be closed and not allow any visitors, to safeguard residents, since they are at most at risk if they contract the virus.
