You are capable of doing everything possible to live the life you want, away from abuse, Lydia Abela, wife of the Prime Minister, said in her message to domestic violence victims, as part of the #intkapaci campaign organised by Commission on Gender-Base Violence & Domestic Violence. 

“This is a message for you, for you out there suffering in silence because you believe there are no solutions for what you are facing and that no one might understand you.” She said that such individuals might be shy or scared to speak out. 

“You are capable of taking the first steps to secure life for yourself and your children. You should never accept domestic violence abuse and never accept abuse from anyone. Those who truly love you will never do such things.” 

She called out for those victims, saying that they are not alone and appealed for those individuals who need help to call 179 or 112
