23 new cases of Coronavirus were found by health authorities in the last 24 hours, while four people have officially recovered from the virus.

This means that the number of active cases has risen to 415.

Out of the 23 new cases, health authorities said that one is imported and two have been traced back to the Paceville cluster.

1,618 swab tests were carried out in the past 24 hours – roughly on par with the number of tests carried out in previous days – with the total number of swab tests done so far now up to 143,385.

The numbers are quite a bit lower than those registered over the past weekend - when 49, 40, and a record high of 54 cases were registered between Friday and Sunday respectively.

Malta has had a total of 1,112 cases of Coronavirus since the first case was found on 7 March, with 688 of those having recovered and 9 passing away.
