A 62-year-old Birzebbugia resident is being spoken to by the police over reports of minors being in possession of a hunting shotgun.

Yesterday at 7.15 am, the Environmental Protection Unit within the Police force was informed by CABS that on Triq il-Brolli, Birżebbuġia, there was an under-aged person in possession of a fire-arm.

The police went on site, but the people involved had already left. After analysing film and further investigation, the Police identified the suspected adult who was with the minors at the time. The police went to the man's residence and confiscated the gun.

Investigations are ongoing and the man is expected to be charged in court.
