The Argus Group is proud to be celebrating 70 years of service. That's 70 years of providing financial security, physical well-being and peace of mind to people living within the communities in which Argus operates: Malta, Gibraltar, Bermuda and Canada. To mark this significant milestone, Argus will be donating over €70,000 to youth programmes using the Argus: Our Future Is You initiative.
Our Future is You is a community contest encouraging charities and nonprofits based in Malta, Gibraltar and Bermuda to submit their ideas for youth-focused programmes for the chance to have those ideas brought to life.
Charities and nonprofits are being asked a simple question: If you had funding to shape the #Next70 years by supporting local youth, what would you do? Proposals must be submitted through the official website: OurFutureIsYou.com, where participants can make a case for their charity or nonprofit organisation to receive one of six €8,500-€10,000 donations. In Malta, once shortlisted by the Argus Steering Committee, Argus employees will then vote on the winners. In Bermuda and Gibraltar the winners will be decided by public vote on Argus' Facebook pages.
The Argus Group's CEO, Alison Hill, says: "70 years is an incredible milestone for any company; however, 2020 has been an unprecedented year for us all. We all have had to adapt rapidly to the humanitarian and economic crisis of Covid-19. More than ever, it has revealed what really matters most - our community.

We are inviting the community to celebrate with us by imagining a brighter future. Applicants will be judged based on innovation, inspiration, creativity, sustainability, feasibility, and, above all, impact on youth in the community. We believe this is a meaningful way to promote opportunities for our young people as we move into our next 70 years, building on the success of the last seven decades. From this position of strength, we can move forward, with confidence and compassion for a brighter tomorrow, together."
