Malta today intercepted 23 containers with boats which were to be used to transport migrants illegally, the Prime Minister said.
In a post on Facebook, Robert Abela said Maltese authorities intercepted the containers as they were being taken to Libya.
They contained boats which were to be used by human traffickers to smuggle migrants, he said.
