He was answering a parliamentary question by PL MP Jean Claude Micallef regarding the process of the animal cemetery.

Back in September, Refalo had informed this newsroom that the tender for the construction of a pet cemetery was currently being vetted by the Department of Contracts.

“This government is working hard and will continue to work on projects which previous cabinets had left behind. We are taking a huge step forward for the strong bond between animals and their owners and we have identified that the site of the animal cemetery will be at Ta Qali, he said on Monday.

Refalo said a sum of money is being allocated for the construction of the cemetery, and that works will begin soon, without going into much more detail.
