The mild weather experienced over the weekend is to be followed by days of wind and rain, with a sharp temperature drop, according to the Met Office.

People marvelled at the beauty of the red skies on Saturday and held barbecues in mild January weather on Sunday.

But this will be over soon as cold winter days return as from tomorrow.

While today's temperature reached a high of 23 - not so common at this time of the year - the temperature is forecast to drop 10 degrees by Saturday, to a high of 13, with a low of 8.

In between, there will be days of strong winds and rain.

The temperature will also ready drop from 23 to 17 by Monday, and it will go further down by the end of the week.
