100 new Covid-19 cases, three more people die

100 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Sunday, the health authorities said in their daily update, while 157 people recovered.

This brings the number of active cases down to 2,341.

The health authorities also said that three more people have died - two men aged 93 and 77, and a woman aged 77. All died while Covid positive at Meter Dei Hospital.

The total number of cases seen on the island since last March stands at 18,676, of which 16,053 have recovered and 282 people have died.

The total number of vaccines administered by Saturday stands at 37,586, of which 8,749 were second doses.

On Saturday, 3,084 swab tests were carried out, bringing the total up to 633,463.
