A motorcyclist was grieviusly injured on Monday afternoon in a crash in Gudja, the police said.

The accident took place in Dawret il-Gudja at 6pm.

The biker, a 45-year-old man of Zurrieq, was riding a Yamaha Crypton R which was involved in a crash with a Toyota Vitz, driven by a 37-year-old man of Gudja.

The biker was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

A 17-year-old boy who was riding pillion was unhurt.
