An English man aged 43 and two Somalis aged 37 and 32 were arrested in connection with a theft from an establishment on Triq Santu Wistin in St Julian's.

The police were informed that between 2am to 3 am, thieves broke into an establishment and stole a cash register and a number of alcohol bottles. Investigations led the police to discover that two men were selling alcohol at St George's Bay. The alcoholic beverages matched those that were stolen and the two were arrested.

The police then identified a third person who was involved and the man was arrested. All three were taken to the police headquarters.

A Magisterial inquiry is ongoing.
