179 new cases of Covid-19 were found over the past 24 hours, and one patient has died, the authorities said.

This was the lowest number of new cases found in weeks.

There are currently 2,898 active cases, and the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic has reached 27,694.

The total number of deaths has risen to 364. The patient who died was a 77-year-old woman. He passed away at Mater Dei Hospital.

There were 314 recoveries over the past 24 hours, for a total of 24,432 recoveries so far.

4,046 swab tests were performed, for a total of 776,252 so far.

Until Thursday, 138,264 doses of the vaccine were administered, of which 42,557 were second doses.
