A 37-year-old man from Fgura has been arrested in connection with a number of thefts from cars, the police said.

The man was identified following weeks of investigations and surveillance.

The thefts took place on 15 and 16 March from a car in Paola and two vans in Fgura.

The man is being held at the police lock-up in Floriana and is expected to be charged later on Friday before Magistrate Marseanne Farrugia.
