Wednesday, 7 April 2021, 12:22 Last update: about 4 years ago

The police are set to charge a number of people who were filmed in the midst of a fight in Sliema.

Quoting a police spokesperson, TVM said that the case, part of which was caught on video, concerned an argument between a group of people on 1 April at around 7:30pm.

They said that they were informed of the argument – which devolved into one person ramming a car with his own vehicle, as seen in the footage – after a group of people entered the Sliema police station, saying that they had been injured in a fight.

The argument happened in Triq l-Imrabat in Sliema, and then continued to Triq Gianni Bencini in Gzira.

Part of the argument was filmed by a group of Italians from their balcony, who shared the video to social media.

Police said that the people involved have been identified and spoken to.  Some are expected to be charged in the coming days.
