Two injured after rider loses control of motorcycle

Two people were injured after a rider lost control of his motorcycle on Sunday evening, police said.

Police said that there were informed of an accident at around 8pm on Sunday in Triq San Pawl tal-Pitkali in Dingli.

Preliminary investigations showed that a 29-year-old man from Nepal has lost control of his motorcycle, a Kymco Agility, and fallen.  A 26-year-old man, also from Nepal, was riding passenger with him.

A medical team took them both to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

The driver was certified as suffering from serious injuries, while the passenger was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
