A documentary by French television station ARTE has shone a light on Malta’s concrete-infested landscape.

The 10-minute documentary sees the TV crew come to Malta – the most concreted-over country in Europe.

Buildings cover over a quarter of the surface area of the island, and just last year 250 football pitches worth of land was lost to development.
