A Malta Red Cross Lifeguard had to act quickly to rescue a 10-year-old boy from strong rip currents at Ghajn Tuffieha bay on Thursday.

The boy was caught in a rip current while swimming at Ghajn Tuffieha – an area known for strong currents which can offer difficulties to swimmers in particular conditions.

The boy, the Malta Red Cross said, was not injured thanks to the lifeguard’s quick reactions.
