Heavy rains hit parts of Malta this morning, spoiling the say for bathers who had to quickly seek shelter from the downpour.
Clouds gathered over the islands this morning in a taste of autumn, but many challenged the weather to take to the beach for a day by the sea.
Their plans were quickly ruined by the first droplets which soon turned into a downpour.
The weather forecast for today was "mainly cloudy", with rain expected on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
