35 new Covid-19 cases reported as 4 remain in ITU

35 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Monday, as four people remain in Mater Dei’s Intensive Therapy Unit.

Health authorities said in their daily update that 43 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases currently stands at 723.

35 patients meanwhile are currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, an increase of two compared to Sunday, with four of those receiving treatment in ITU.

Up till Sunday, 805,479 doses of the vaccine had been administered – 2,240 of which were booster doses.

Malta has had 36,793 cases of Covid-19 so far. 35,225 of those have recovered, while 449 have died.
