An English teenaged girl has been arrested by the police in connection with thefts carried out between November last year and March this year.

The police said the 18-year-old, who lives in Rabat, was caught on CCTV cameras while stealing clothes from shops in Sliema on different days.

Other investigations led the police to discover that the teenager transferred some €10,000 in her name to the detriment of the company she worked for.

The girl is to be arraigned before Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech.
