23 people have, meanwhile, recovered from the virus.
However, authorities said that a 69-year-old man had passed away while positive for Covid-19, becoming the 461st person to pass away while positive for the virus in Malta.
Malta currently has 204 active cases of the virus.
9 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, with four of those being in intensive care.
875,862 doses of the vaccine had been administered up until Thursday, with 49,953 of those being booster doses.
Malta has had 37,622 cases of Covid-19 so far. 36,548 of those have recovered, while 461 have died.
