A man has passed away while positive for Covid-19, as health authorities reported 29 new cases of the virus in their daily update on Tuesday.
Authorities said that an 83-year-old man had died while positive for the virus. He is Malta 462nd victim of the pandemic.
16 people, meanwhile, have recovered. Malta currently has 238 active cases of the virus.
10 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, with four of those in intensive care.
881,843 doses of the vaccine had been administered up until Monday, with 54,267 of those being booster shots.
Malta has had 37,706 cases of the virus. 36,597 of those have recovered, while 462 have died.
