An argument in Marsa early on Wednesday has left two in hospital, police said.
Police said in a statement that two men walked into the Hamrun district police station at around 00:300 on Wednesday, with injuries on their faces and hands.
Preliminary investigations showed that there had been an argument had happened in Triq il-Marsa in Marsa where a knife and glass bottles were allegedly used.
One of the men – a 50-year-old from Hamrun, was treated at a health centre and certified with light injuries, while the other man, whose identity is not known yet, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance and was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
District police investigations are ongoing.
