The health authorities said that 106 new Covid-19 cases were registered, as the upward trend continues.

The number of recoveries totalled 54, which meant that the number of active cases has shot up again, to 1,188.

No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the total number of victims at 468.

Twelve persons are in hospital with Covid-19, two of whom are in intensive care.

The health authorities said 956,338 vaccinatgion doses have been administered, 120,528 of whom were booster jabs.

So far, Malta has registered 39,348 cases of Covid-19, while 37,373 recovered.
