A woman is in hospital with grievous injuries after she was hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place in Imhalla Street, Naxxar, at 5.15pm.

The woman, aged 67 of Mosta, was hit by a Toyota Ractis driven by a 45-year-old woman on Swieqi.
