A 92-year-old woman is the latest person to die while positive for Covid-19, as health authorities reported 172 new cases of the virus.

304 people have meanwhile recovered from the virus, taking the number of active cases down to 2,097.

79 Covid-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, with four of those being in intensive care.

1,225,118 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 335,740 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 69,471 cases of the virus so far. 66,366 of those have recovered, while 572 have died.
